Guest Service Specialist

Department: Administration Location: Information Desk (Lake Terrace Convention Center and Hattiesburg Visitors Center) Shift: Days/Nights/Weekends Reports to: Guest Service Supervisor Summary: Providing the best customer service and direction for all clients and visitors to at the Lake Terrace Convention Center.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure that the phone is in the correct service mode in the AM and PM • Answering phone • Acknowledging and greeting the clients or visitors promptly • Be knowledgeable of event are schedules and the locations • Be able to give directions to all venues managed by the Hattiesburg Convention Commission (HCC) • Be knowledgeable about all venues managed by HCC • Update event document book weekly • Keep area tidy • Sort mail and distribute into company mailboxes Qualification Requirements: Education and Work Experience •Must be a high school graduate, with some form experience in customer service.
Essential Job Qualifications • Must retain a valid Driver’s License and meet the eligibility requirements to drive while conducting company business.
