Nelson Wholesale Services is looking to hire a Warehouse Manager for our Columbia, Mississippi location.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors
- Hiring and training new warehouse staff and truck drivers
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels
- Implement lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in warehouse operations
- Collaborate with transportation management to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Utilize software for inventory management and tracking
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Work with management to ensure all records and reports are prepared on a timely basis and are effectively maintained
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management principles and best practices
- Experience in fleet management and transportation logistics
- Proficiency in computers
- Ability to effectively supervise a team of warehouse personnel
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes and procedures
- Possess good time management skills
As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facility.
