An IT Manager is responsible for overseeing IT personnel and daily operations within the IT department.
This position is responsible for several different tasks related to overseeing the company’s network systems.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF POSITION:*
* Develop new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
* Create rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
* Construct and implement plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
* Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
* Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
* Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
* Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
* Stay up to date with new network technology and report this information to the executive team each quarter.
* Work closely with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
* Assumes additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations.
* In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security.
* A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture.
* Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
* Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
* Customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization.
* A+, Linux+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
* Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.
00 - $80,000.
