Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our healthcare team.
As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all nursing activities within our organization.
This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Duties:
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing personnel, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Oversee the management of nursing supplies, equipment, and medications
- Monitor patient outcomes and quality indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in nursing practices, technologies, and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Current state nursing license
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in acute care, home health, assisted living, or nursing home settings
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in shift management and resource allocation
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
