Optometric Technician

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team.
As an Optometric Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting optometrists in providing quality eye care to our patients.

Responsibilities: - Perform preliminary tests and measurements on patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and visual field testing - Obtain patient medical history and document relevant information - Assist with contact lens fittings and instructions - Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the optometrist - Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry (eye pressure measurement) and retinal imaging - Prepare examination rooms and ensure all equipment is properly sanitized and calibrated - Educate patients on proper eye care techniques and contact lens hygiene - Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls - Collaborate with the optometrist to provide exceptional patient care Requirements: - Previous experience as an Optometric Technician or in a similar role is preferred - Proficiency in taking vital signs and documenting patient information accurately - Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages - Experience working in a medical office setting is a plus - Familiarity with medical billing processes is an advantage Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing outstanding eye care services.
