*Overview:* As a Medical Receptionist at Azalea Gardens Nursing Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and compassionate front desk operations within a healthcare setting.

*Responsibilities:*
* Greet residents and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
* Answer phone calls promptly and distribute to appropriate department.
* Maintain organized and up-to-date patient files, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations (e.
g.
, HIPAA).
* Process incoming and outgoing medical records, faxes, and other correspondence.
* Collect and receipt payments
* Coordinate with nursing and medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication of urgent matters.
* Manage inventory and ordering of office supplies as needed.
* Relay messages accurately and promptly to the appropriate staff members.
* Maintain professionalism and empathy when dealing with sensitive or emotional situations.
* Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe reception area and clinic environment.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is preferred.
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills (e.
g.
, Microsoft Office Suite).
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
