SEMRHI is a network of Community Health Centers that has been in southeast Mississippi for almost 45 years.
Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Administrative Assistant performs various administrative support for the DoHR and HR department.
In addition to assisting in recruitment process and scheduling interviews, performs duties such as ordering supplies, facilitating orientation, and working on special projects.
Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information.
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with staff, patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Assist with the management of the recruiting process, including screening, setting interviews, and reference checks
Act as a company ambassador and advocate, with potential candidates, employees, as well as, with local organizations and attend local career fairs.
Effectively communicate with candidates about operations, company culture, benefits and opportunities.
Prepares and distributes minutes, reports, memos and other documents in a timely manner
Answer telephone in a timely and courteous manner; takes messages and convey to proper person; coordinates with Administrative Staff for coverage of telephones and reception area
Demonstrate strong work ethic by display of attendance, punctuality and dedication to duty, including a willingness to travel and work extended/flexible hours
Attend all mandatory in-service programs, staff meetings, staff development workshops, conferences and seminars as recommended
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
Responsible for ordering office supplies and maintaining an adequate supply of office supplies on hand.
Demonstrate accurate ability to create and format letters, documents and other correspondence from verbal instruction
Create, submit and mail, transfer, promotion, status change and schedule change letters/memos timely
Run monthly exclusion checks for all employees
Maintain records of preceptorships and affiliation agreements
Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Prepares and submits exit interview separation documents to terminating employees in a timely manner.
Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
Performs related work, as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED with some college preferred
Minimum 3-5 years Executive and/or Administrative Office experience needed
Some medical office experience preferred, but not required
Good typing and computer skills
Working knowledge of all office business machines and basic office procedures
Excellent communication and grammar skills
Ability to handle on-demand requests and deadline pressure
Ability to work without supervision while handling workload
Ability to answer telephone inquiries, take accurate messages and screen calls for Administration
Make quick, correct decisions regarding staff when no one else is available
Demonstrate oral and written communication skills including taking minutes, preparing reports, correspondence, and other documentation
Ability to multi-task while managing requests
Determine situations of confidentiality when communicating with staff and outside agencies and be able to handle all situations in a diplomatic manner
Physical and Other Requirements:
Continuously listen, visualize, and have dexterity and eye-hand coordination
Frequently sit, squat, reach, use both right and left forearm rotation, walk and stand
Occasionally kneel, twist, have ability to grasp firmly, lift and carry, push and pull in excess of 10 lbs.
