Job Summary:
The RN performs under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing and is delegated an assignment by the coordinator to achieve quality patient care.
The RN Staff Nurse shall implement the nursing process in an organized, systematic manner, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation as evidenced by documentation in the Patient Care Record, direct observation by the Director of Nursing, and patient evaluations of care.
The RN is responsible to the Director of Nursing for patient care.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Graduate of a recognized RN program.
Must have successfully completed at least 825 clinical
practice hours for B.
S.
program and at least 750 clinical practice hours for A.
D.
program.
These
hours are exclusive of laboratory hours.
Work Experience:
One year of medical/surgical nursing care is preferred but not required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
Licensed RN able to practice within the State of MS
