CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

Job Summary: The Nurse Aide, under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN, is delegated assignments by the RN/LPN to achieve quality patient care.
He/she is involved in the implementation phase of the nursing process and is organizationally accountable to the Nurse Manager.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide technical care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to collect data and relay appropriate data to nurses and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
Qualifications: Education/Skills Diploma/GED required.
Work Experience: Minimum 6 months experience as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE Certified Nurse Aid Certificate Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on the required time frame below Basic Life Support Within 30 Days of Employment Required Mental Demands: Ability to perform as a team member, cooperate with others, follow directions precisely, demonstrates initiative, and functions under stress.
