Mechanical Maintenance Technician Your Job Our Georgia-Pacific Cellulose facility in New Augusta, MS is looking for a motivated, maintenance professional to join our team as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
In this position, you will be utilizing your millwright experience, knowledge, and skills while building a fulfilling career in the Cellulose industry.
Our maintenance technicians perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, twisting, and stooping, for extended periods of time.
They work any shift, on-call, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed in all types of weather conditions and in a noisy industrial environment while maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.

16 per hour.

com What You Will Do Performing maintenance to include direct drive shaft alignments, bearing installations, belt/chain drive installations and using precision maintenance techniques Troubleshooting mechanical equipment and systems to maintain expected machine performance Inspecting machinery to identify issues that may lead to unplanned downtime Participating in a preventative maintenance program to ensure machinery uptime Performing various duties in the maintenance department related to assembly, repairs, and fabrication of metal parts Using blueprints and designs sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product Reading and interpreting complex work instructions and documentation This job may require working a modified shift schedule for 3 months at a time Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) High school diploma or GED Two (2) years or more of millwright maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment.
Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions Two (2) or more years of experience with precision shaft alignment by reverse dial indication method or laser alignment equipment Two (2) or more years of experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors Two (2) or more years of experience with precision measurement work What Will Put You Ahead Five (5) years or more of millwright experience in a manufacturing environment Three (3) years or more of machinist, precision mechanic, welding, or hydraulic experience in an industrial setting Lubrication certification Maintenance experience in the Pulp & Paper industry Two-year degree/certification in Precision Maintenance or related field Experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, fork trucks, man-lifts, and/or carry-decks At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
